Last Light will build a breathtaking two-dimensional life-or-death arena. The game can take place inside a secret underground research facility. SURVIVAL GAMEPLAY BREAKDOWN

The core of Last Light will revolve around surviving through each day. Players must clear all seven dangerous basement floors to reach the surface. Before starting the journey, you can pick from three challenge levels: Easy, Normal, and Hard. Higher levels will increase the monster count and lower resource spawn rates. Moreover, the undead can become much fiercer and run faster than usual.

WASD keys: Gamers need to press WASD to move the character left or right. You can also interact directly when walking up or down stairs between floors.
Right mouse button: Players must hold this button to aim and guide the bullet path.
Left mouse button: Users should click the left mouse button to fire weapons.
R key: You have to hit R to reload ammo and quickly pick up dropped items.
E key: Gamers can press E to interact with the surrounding environment. For example, players will search lab tables, press elevator buttons, or activate items.
Shift key: Users need to hold Shift to boost their sprinting speed. This action will drain stamina, but you can escape the mutant horde.

Power grid system

Serving as the lifeblood feeding the entire underground facility. Supplying energy to keep the lights on. Operating automatic doors and elevator cabins. However, limited power grid capacity causing overloads if too many devices run at once. Tripping circuit breakers, blacking out lights, blaring alarms, and unleashing zombies from air vents. Forcing a trip down to basement fuse boxes to flip switches and restart power before total collapse.

Keycard exploration and area unlocking

Containing locked rooms behind color-coded security doors on each research floor. Watching question marks on the map to locate desks, filing cabinets, and matching access cards. Unlocking these rooms to earn massive coins and valuable stat upgrades.

Defense fortification building

Using old vending machines to build temporary barricades and block narrow hallways against midnight raids. Deploying automatic turrets behind barricades to fire non-stop at any target in range. Forming a solid defense line to protect the character.

Long-term progression mechanics

Retaining combat skills and weapon mastery across runs even after failing midway. Making future attempts much easier and greatly improving starting character strength.

Combat controls

Move: WASD or Arrow keys.
Aim: Right mouse button.
Fire weapon: Left mouse button.
Reload or pick up items: R / E.

Survival tactics

Lure zombies into narrow one-way hallways, place vending machine barricades in front, and set turrets right behind.
Stop scavenging immediately at 10 PM in-game, retreat to the main base, and check weapons.
Prioritize upgrading personal weapon damage and character movement speed.
Turn off lights actively in unused areas to prevent power grid drops.
Hold the shift key to run straight down and flip the power switch back on as fast as possible.
